MCP stdio server that lets Claude Code drive your real Chrome window (your logins, your cookies, zero API keys) via a Chrome MV3 extension.
Let Claude Code drive your real Chrome — with your logins, cookies and extensions already there.
This is an open-source Claude-in-Chrome. Same idea — an agent acting in the browser you are already signed into, through the same trusted Chrome DevTools Protocol input. The difference is where it runs, who can read the code, and what it can do once it is there.
Claude Code is the agent loop, so every model call runs on your Claude subscription and this server holds no LLM key of its own.
Claude-in-Chrome ChromeBridge --------- Source closed Apache-2.0 — every rule that decides what Claude sees is readable Where it runs Anthropic's extension your machine — a localhost bridge, one client, token-gated Driven from the Claude app Claude Code, where you already are Turns on 19 measured tasks 240 117 (and the caveats) Replaying a known run re-prompt the model every time record it once, replay with no model calls Consent — per origin, revocable, written only by the side panel
It works on framework-heavy SPAs — Radix, shadcn, HeadlessUI, MUI — with no site-specific code: full pointer-event sequences, automatic escalation to trusted CDP input when an untrusted click has no effect, and atomic React-safe form fills. Clicks land in a background tab without stealing your focus.
Pre-registered head-to-head against Claude-in-Chrome. 19 tasks across 7 archetypes, 38 runs, one at a time, arm order rotated. Tasks were written blind and ground truth was re-derived by an independent referee.

Hand a whole browser task off in one call: a decision model drives the page server-side, so a flow costs one call, not a turn per click. Ref-based element tables, code-checked assertions, zero-model m
