Droid ASC (asc-rs) as an MCP server: class lookup, smali, manifest and xrefs straight from the APK
View on GitHub ↗Droid ASC (asc-rs) as a VibRev MCP engine.
asc treats an APK as a read-only database: it locates a class, searches cross references or decodes the manifest straight from the compressed archive in milliseconds, without decompiling or indexing the whole app. This crate puts that engine behind one set of [vibrevtool] definitions, which drive both the MCP surface and a derived CLI.
Every tool takes apk, the path to an APK on this machine.
Tool CLI --------- apk.dex asc-mcp tool apk dex Root-level DEX entries apk.manifest asc-mcp tool apk manifest Decoded AndroidManifest.xml class.smali asc-mcp tool class smali One class as smali, paged by line class.dump asc-mcp tool class dump --output X.dex Valid single-class DEX (the only writer) refs.string asc-mcp tool refs string Methods loading a matching string refs.type asc-mcp tool refs type Methods referencing a matching type refs.method asc-mcp tool refs method --name N --class C [--fuzzy-class] Call sites refs.field asc-mcp tool refs field --name N --class C [--fuzzy-class] Field accesses
refs. results are sorted by DEX and paged (offset / limit / nextoffset / total); complete: false means some DEX entries could not be searched.
Policy flags from vibrev-kit apply to both faces: --read-only (drops class.dump), --toolsets refs, --tools, --exclude-tools.
Caching: the MCP server keeps an engine (with a 256 MiB in-memory LRU) for each of the four most recently used APKs; both faces use asc's on-disk cache (~/.cache/droidasc, $DROIDASCCACHEDIR) unless --no-cache is given.
